A nationwide photo essay exploring the encounter between humans and robots across various areas of work and everyday life in Germany — situated between technological progress and social transformation.

This project examines places where robots are no longer just visions of the future, but part of the present, especially in institutions of systemic importance and wherever there is a shortage of skilled workers.

It explores how collaboration with robots is shaping human experience: What potential arises for inclusion and participation when robots become not just tools, but companions? And what ethical and societal questions emerge as this development unfolds?

From innovative start-ups to nursing homes, from research labs to everyday environments — Anthrobocene explores this new reality through visual storytelling in which robots are not meant to replace us, but to collaborate with us.
